Awesome Classes for Teens!
Monday Classes:

4:30-5:30: “Glee Jr.!” (ages 8-11):  Back by popular demand!!! Patterned after the wildly successful TV show, ‘Glee’, (the musical format, NOT the story line) students will learn how to sing and move in an ensemble setting where every performer is a star, and students will learn how to sing with purpose, while also learning effective choreography to create meaningful and memorable performances!! Taught by Kaylin Mercer (class limited to 8 students)

4:30-5:30:  “For Your Guys Only”! (ages 10-15):   So...it has been proven that there are times when guys just want to be with other guys….they share the same humor (think ‘3 Stooges’), and they are more willing to step out of their safety zone when it is just guys. That really helps them commit to characters, dramatically and comically, which sometimes is harder to accomplish when girls are in the same class. This truly helps guys with confidence in school and in life!!  Taught by Tim Burns.  (class limited to 8 guy students)

5:30-6:30:  ‘Mini Musical, Jr.” (ages 8-11):  This past session, students told us this would be their ‘dream class’…to perform an original mini-musical that tells an interesting story with dialog, song, and choreography! A triple threat original! You can’t get better than that!!! A challenge to put together in just 8 weeks!  Taught by Kaylin Mercer (class limited to 8 students)

5:30-6:30 “More to the Story” (ages 10-14): Also a student favorite!!! Many popular stories end suddenly and we don’t know what happens next. In this class, students will imagine and put to paper what happens after the story ends. (for example, what happens to Dorothy when she comes home from Oz? What happens to Harry, Ron, and Hermiones kids at Hogwarts?) It is all up to you!!! Imaginations that run wild are encouraged and these skills create confidence and success in school and in life! Taught by Tim Burns (class limited to 8 students)

6:30-7:30 “Master Vocal Performance Class for Young Women”(ages 12-16) For experienced female vocalists who would like to continue to grow as performers and stretch themselves as they work on challenging songs where continued success will come from further experience, confidence, and a continued education of what makes a memorable vocal performance! Taught by Ellen Papa (class limited to 8 female students)

Wednesday Classes:

4:30-5:30: “Imagination Station!” (ages 6-7):  Our goal is to build a true love of performing in our youngest students and imagination is the key! We will act out fairy tales and popular kid’s books, have dress up time, and make imaginative projects that will spark everyone’s attention!! All of these current skills help to build success in students where future confidence is the key! Taught by Ellen Papa  (class limited to 6 students)

4:30-5:30 “More to the Story, Jr.” (ages 8-11): A student favorite!!! Many popular stories end suddenly and we don’t know what happens next. In this class, students will imagine and put to paper what happens after the story ends. (what happens to Dorothy when she comes home from Oz? What does Tom Sawyer do after he saves Becky’s life from Engine Jo?) It is all up to you!!! Imaginations that run wild are encouraged! Taught by Tim Burns (class limited to 8 students)

5:30-6:30: “Mini Musical” (ages 10-15):  This past session, students told us this would be their ‘dream class’…to perform an original mini-musical that will tell a great story with dialog, song, and choreography! A triple threat original! You can’t get better than that!!! A challenge to put together in just 8 weeks!  Taught by Kaylin Mercer (class limited to 8 students)

5:30-6:30: “Up & Coming Film Makers!” (ages 10-16): Do you have a budding film director at home? Then this class is for them! Students will learn what it takes to make a video short as they become the director, producer and star of their own videos! For the motivated student who is interested in the field of video/film production where students will learn about directing, starring, writing, and producing short films! Taught by Tim Burns & Taylor Ogburn (class limited to 6 students)

6:30-7:30 “Composers: Write & Perform Your Own Songs!”(age 10-16) Back by popular demand!! This incredibly new and unique class offers the budding composer a chance to write and compose original songs! Taught by the very successful songwriter and performer, Taylor Ogburn, where collaboration is the key.  Original songs that are composed will be recorded, and performed! A class unlike any other!   Taught by Taylor Ogburn (class limited to 6 students)
